Ping Pong Fight Club London – #PINGPONGFIGHTCLUB

This June’s Ping Pong Fight Club held at Oval Space, London, was not for the faint hearted. Mimicking the underground feel of the ‘Fight Club’ movie with a ping pong table ‘fighting arena’, our Ping-Pong gladiators went head to head for their companies bragging rights to be crowned the ‘Ping Pong Fight Club Champion’.

8 companies and hundreds of supporters. This month’s event proved to be a spectacular team building, networking and fundraising night out.

With a line up of players all with their ‘game face on’, fighting broke out. The games were competitive and fiery and the Tsingtao; cool and refreshing.

Year of the Dog
16th February 2018
Year of the Dog

Chinese New Year is upon us once more and the 2018 lunar calendar is dedicated to the Earth Dog. After last year’s powerful and ambitious Year of the Fire Rooster, 2018 promises to be all about action and embracing change.

Of the twelve Chinese zodiac animals, the dog occupies the eleventh position within the cycle, and corresponds to people born in 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, and, of course, 2018. Officially falling on Friday 16th February this year and ending on Monday 4th February 2019, even if the dog is not your zodiac sign, there is a lot to be excited about over the dozen months.

Tsingtao Races into 2016 with Superbikes Contract
21st September 2015
Tsingtao Races into 2016 with Superbikes Contract

Tsingtao Beer has extended its title sponsorship of the Hampshire MV Agusta motorcycle racing team, which will see it compete in the MCE British Superbike Championship until the end of 2016.

The Team is honing a strong field of riders for next year thanks to the additional support of the Italian Varese-based factory, which will also see the bikes become even more competitive.

Team manager, Dave Tyson, says: “It’s great to have the support of a brand as strong as Tsingtao. Our agreement to go forward for another year in BSB gives our team a great sense of security. It’s been a tough season this year, with the switch of manufacturer in 2015 and Luke Jones missed out on most of this year due to injury, but he’s with us for another year, and will have a point to prove as the rules change for 2016.”

“Much time and effort has gone in to getting the package competitive in our championship. Keith Farmer has made the transition well from big bike to the F3 and we still have more to come. The last three rounds will show next year’s potential and we’re pleased to be continuing our relationship with Tsingtao.”

James Wright, Director of Spirits and Agency Brands at Halewood International, which distributes Tsingtao in the UK, added: “Sponsoring the Hampshire Motorcycles team has proved really beneficial for us for the last three years and we’re delighted to be continuing the relationship. It’s been a challenging season for the team and we’re supporting the riders and the manufacturer, MV Agusta, to ensure we’re the team to watch in 2016.”

Tsingtao ‘in the Frame’ at Wang Qingsong
 launch
8th September 2015
Tsingtao ‘in the Frame’ at Wang Qingsong
 launch

Tsingtao is proud to be sponsoring the launch of contemporary Beijing artist, Wang Qingsong’s first solo exhibition in London for almost ten years. The opening on September 22nd at Mayfair’s Beetles+Huxley gallery, marks the start of a five week run.

Born at the start of the Cultural Revolution, Qingsong’s provocative, and often humorous works comment on the overwhelming social and visual changes which have taken place in his native country over the last four and a half decades.
Predominantly photography and film-based, his fascinating pieces are known for their massive scale, deep symbolism and careful staging, which can sometimes take several weeks and involve up to 300 extras.

Many of the artist’s large-format photographs, which have been shown in galleries and museums across the globe, including the International Centre of Photography (NY) and the V&A (London), also attract significant attention at auction. Qingsong also represented China in the Venice Biennale 2013.

Tsingtao will be celebrating Wang Qingsong’s London exhibition launch with its authentic imported pilsner and the rarer, more exclusive 1903, which is only available in select venues across the UK.

The launch event takes place on 22nd September, 6-8pm.

Isle of Man TT
20th May 2013
Isle of Man TT

The Tsingtao Racing team leave for the Isle of Man. With the world focused on the tiny island for two weeks our team pit their nerves against the gruelling road race and jostle for position with the other teams.

The Tsingtao team will endure multiple test laps (each lap is over 37 miles across public roads), performance tweaks, mechanical changes and long hours to ensure Dave Johnson and the Tsingtao TT bike are all set for the their category race. With speeds well over 100mph along the road course, the team will need all the skill, bravery and concentration they can muster to gain a podium spot.

This event truly attracts the crowds in their thousands. Where else will you see motorbikes hurtle round at breathe-taking speeds whilst battling with pot-holes, jumps, stone-clad walls, telegraph poles and vast crowds just inches away from the kerbside?

Watch the Tsingtao Racing team make history.
